Guidelines:  Your portrait starts with photos that you mail with your payment to Augusto Argandoña (pricing info follows).  Understanding basic photography guidelines, will insure that Augusto will clearly depict the beauty and characteristics of the home you love that is most special to you.  Here are some guidelines for you to follow:

 Photography: All commissioned art is painted from photographs. Should your photographs be used, it is recommended that they be taken from different angles (see images) and preferably on a sunny day when the shadow patterns are most prominent.

 Should tall trees be in the way, it is recommended that additional photographs are taken at a closer range. In addition, detail photos of the front door, lights, windows landscaping and any decorative element are very helpful. It is recommended that a 35mm camera and print film with an ISO of 100 or 200 be used. 

Season: Regardless of when the photos are taken, your painting can be done in any season of the year. If flowering shrubbery and planting are not in bloom or if the landscaping is not completed, a brief description of the colors and the planned shrubbery and trees will be sufficient for their inclusion in the painting.

Time: Once the photographs are received, the painting can be completed in as little as two weeks, however 4 or 5 weeks in preferred.

Price: The price is determined by the size of the painting and the type of frame. Unless requested by the client, all paintings are shiped with matting only.  Shipping, handling and insurance are not included in the prices below.
